Keith and the Black Lion

KEITH is the Commander / Leader of the Voltron Force. If there's a life or death decision to be made, it's his job to make the decision. He presumably was born / lives on Planet Earth (Terra). He graduated from the Space Academy at the top of his class. He is level headed, thinking things through before taking action. He is a caring person, taking into account the feeling of others. But he has a special soft spot in heart for Princess Allura. This "spot" becomes evident as the first season of Voltron proceeds, and is also a great source of friction between Keith and Lotor, as well as some of the other members of the Voltron Force. Although Keith will try to avoid fighting as much as possible, his hand-to-hand fighting skills are very good (much to Lotor's dismay).

The Black Lion is the main body and head of Voltron. When not in action, it sits on top of the Lion Monument across the Lake that surrounds the Castle of Lions. It's main weapons are proton missiles, the laser knife and the missile deflector wing.
